Fleet Information Page

This page shows the current list of planes the Rainbow Express Air has to offer the Pilots to fly.  This page list all aircraft in the fleet.  Depending on your rank you may not have access to some of the aircraft listed on this page.  By clicking on one of the aircraft you will display additional information for that aircraft at the bottom of the screen.

Flight ScheduleFlight Schedule

This page is the first step to booking a flight.  This page displays all flight that can be flown from your current location.  Notice that some are white and some are blue.  Reference the color codes in the lower left corner.  In this case blue means flight is not available today.  If you click on a flight it will list additional information for that flight.  There is an option to also view other flights in the Filter Routes area.  By using the filter routes you can plan where you would like to go and when you get there what are the next flights available from the airport.

Flight Chosen and setting up the SimulatorPre Flight Briefing 1st Stage

Second step to starting your flight. There is a lot of information on this page.  Things you will need to notice will be departure time, arrival time if set, departure and destination airport and estimated flight time.  Additional information is airport information for departure and destination.  In the passenger and Cargo area it list the 1st Class Passengers, Business Class Passengers, Economy Passengers and Cargo.  You will notice in this one it says 14/14 for Economy Passengers.  This flight is for a C208B it holds 14 passengers.  The first 14 states you can hold 14 passengers the second 14 means there are 14 people waiting to fly.  That does not mean you will get those 14 passengers when you go to the next step of the flight.  It only states there are 14 people located at that terminal waiting for a flight.  Those people may not be wanting to depart to where you are going.  You will find out how many people and cargo you have in the next step.  On this page there is also a Find Route button.  The simulator must be running to find the route.   The option will pull up a map of your planned flight and give you the VOR's, Intersections, etc.... that it thinks is best for this flight.  You do not have to use this route it is only suggested by the system.  Once you have the information you need and you simulator is up and running at the departure airport click on the Start VAFS ACARS. This does not yet start the flight.  This will only take you to another information page where you will find out how many passengers, how much cargo and the weights for both so you can load them in your plane.
